Ear Candling

Ear Candling has become more well-known in this country during recent years, having been practiced for centuries by other cultures, perhaps the most well-known being the Hopi Native American tribe.

Why would you choose to have Ear Candling?

Ear candling can help people who have the following conditions:
Mainly ear, nose and throat problemsSinusitis Ear acheEar waxHeadachesMigrainesEar noise (tinnitus)RhinitisSnoringHayfeverStress & nervousnessImproves sense of smellColdsEar eczemaTravel sickness

What happens during a treatment?

You will be lying on your side (fully clothed!) and a hollow candle (made from unbleached cotton/linen and hardened with bees wax) is placed gently into the ear, and lit at the top.

The flame creates a vibration of air which effectively gently massages the ear drum, which promotes secretion of the ear canal and the sinuses.

A facial massage is then given, as the muscles are relaxed and the massage can dislodge debris/wax in the ear. Accupressure points are used.

Both the candle treatment and the massage stimulate the circulation of blood and lymph.

Who can have this treatment?

This treatment is suitable for anyone unless you have a perforated ear drum , or gromets in place, any ear implant, recent ear surgery or ear tumour.
